HURGHADA, Egypt – Twelve ships anchored at Red Sea harbours while 92,000 tons of goods were being handled, including commodities, 815 trucks and 100 cars, the Red Sea Ports Authority (RSPA) said in a statement on Friday.
Imports included 6,500 tons of goods, 440 trucks and 55 cars and exports included 85,500 tons of goods, 375 trucks and 45 cars, the statement said.
Two ships arrived at Safaga Port and one vessel set sail from the port, it added.
As many as 1,200 passengers arrived at and departed from the authority’s ports, according to the statement.
