Egyptian Minister of International Co-operation Rania el-Mashat arrived in Beirut late on Wednesday to attend the Arab Regional Forum for Climate Finance.
The forum is held in preparation for COP 27 due in Sharm el-Sheikh in November.
A number of ministers, senior officials and representatives of the public and private sectors will take part in the event.
The event, which is one of five regional forums organised to prepare for COP 27, tackles the Arab countries’ need of financing climate action to guarantee water security, energy and food security in light of climate change.
