Abdel Moneim Al Terras, Chairman of the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI), discussed with Dominic Goh, Singapore’s Ambassador to Egypt, means to strengthen co-operation mechanisms between both countries.
In a statement issued by the AOI on Thursday, they also probed possible opportunities of investment and trade partnerships in different domains.
They also discussed means on making use of AOI’s experience in different industrial fields, including communication, medical industries and new and renewable energy domains.
Both sides reviewed possible participation of Singaporean companies in national projects.
Al Terras stressed that such steps are part of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to broaden horizons of partnerships and co-operation with leading global companies under the Egypt Vision 2030.
The organisation is keen to cement co-operation with major Singaporean companies and attract further investments to support local industrialisation, Al-Terras added.
For his part, Goh lauded great technical and technological capabilities of the organisation, noting that he aims to conclude new long-run partnerships in all fields of industry.
Singapore is keen to enhance bilateral ties with Egypt at all levels in light of Cairo’s development and economic growth, Goh added.
