Indian Ambassador to Egypt Ajit Gupte said on Tuesday that the Indian companies are looking forward to pumping additional investments in Egypt worth $700 million within the coming few years reflecting the level of trust of the Indian companies in Egypt in light of the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
This came in a speech by the ambassador during the 5th meeting of the Egyptian-Indian businessmen council held on Tuesday in Cairo for the first time since 2016.
Egypt is one of the most important investment destinations for India in the region as the Indian investments in Egypt reached $3.15 billion, he said.
He also reviewed the activity of the Indian companies in Egypt, asserting that the Indian companies implemented a number of important projects in Egypt.
