CAIRO  – EgyptAir company has taken all necessary measures to prepare for operating flights from Saudi Arabia’s cities of Jeddah and Medina to bring home pilgrims, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Amr Abu Elenien said.

In a statement issued on Thursday, he reiterated that the company is keen to remove all obstacles and simplify all procedures to provide the best services for pilgrims under the directives of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.

Abu Elenien added that the national flag carrier is committed to providing all forms of support and necessary facilitations to ensure a comfortable and convenient Hajj journey for all Egyptian pilgrims.

The national carrier is set to operate on Tuesday its first flights to carry back home nearly 16,000 pilgrims from Saudi Arabia.

Out of the 114 flights, 80 will take off from Jeddah and 34 from Medina, he noted.
