Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said Egypt looks forward to promoting cooperation with the United Arab Emirates in all domains in a way that serves the two countries’ interests.
This came during his meeting on Tuesday with UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology Sultan Al Jaber, in presence of Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker, Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak.
In statements, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said that the two sides, during the meeting, discussed means to enhance cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in the investment, IT, energy and communications fields.
President Sisi also conveyed his greetings to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, welcoming the increase in UAE investments in Egypt that will in turn consolidate the strong ties between the two countries, which reached an advanced level at different levels.
For his part, the UAE industry minister conveyed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s greetings to President Sisi. He also lauded the prevailing trade and investment climate in Egypt, thanks to the comprehensive development process taking place in the country, under the leadership of President Sisi.
This provides investment opportunities for UAE and foreign investors in the Middle East and Africa region, he said, expressing his country’s keenness on strengthening strategic cooperation between the two countries at different levels.
