Representatives of 450 global and local companies will participate in thethird round of the EGY Health International Congress and Exhibition, scheduled to be convened from 7th to 9th next September at the Al Manara International Conferences Center, in cooperation with a number of ministries and authorities concerned with the health sector in Egypt.

Mohamed Kamel, Board Chairman of Spine Medical Company which organizes the exhibition, said during the preparatory meeting to announce the launch of the third round of the ‘Egy Health’ that the exhibition includes major companies and institutions working in the medical devices and supplies sector, and is an important annual forum to host and review the most important and latest findings the global technology have reached to.

Zakaria Kamel, General Manager of the organizing company, confirmed that the exhibition is expected to see large commercial contracts being finalized between exhibitors, buyers and visitors over the activities of the exhibition, extending to three days.

He unveiled that the benefit will not stop over the signed commercial and export deals, but rather it will extend to include pumping investments for setting up factories in Egypt in the field of medical devices and supplies.

Wissam Hussein, Executive Director of the exhibition, explained that “Egy Health” will run this year on an area of ​​20,000 square meters, with the organizers be committing to all precautionary measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

He added that the exhibition will include in its current round5 specialties and basic sectors; namely, oncology, neurosurgery, dentistry, laboratories, and pharmacy, and will contribute to the exchange of practical experiences, spreading new innovations and transferring knowledge in the medical fields.

For his part, Dr. Mohamed Hafez, Professor of Neurosurgery at the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy Hospital, confirmed that the medical tourism has witnessed a relative growth during the recent period, explaining that the Egyptian market is absorbing this increase.

Dr. Maher Bayoumi, Director General of Medcare Egypt for Medical Supplies, said that the Egyptian market is large and very encouraging to attract new investments in the field of medical supplies. He referred to the importance of localizing and transferring the technology of the medical supplies industry to the Egyptian market by entering into partnerships with foreign investors.

Dr. Nermin El-Desouki, Professor of Clinical Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine, Kasr Al-Ainy Hospital, and President of Al-Qasr Al-Ainy Blood Bank, said that the bank will participate in the Egy Health conference, to present the results of some studies on the impact of the Corona crisis on the blood donation campaigns, which decreased by 50%.
