The Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli asserted that Egypt’s development experiment over the past eight years has placed it on the world map in several vital sectors, noting that Cairo is ready to offer its expertise to any Arab or African state.

Addressing the the seventh edition of the Builders of Egypt Forum, the premier praised renewing confidence in Egypt to preside over the African federation of Construction Contractors associations “AFCCA” which held its general assembly meeting on Saturday.

He reviewed Egypt’s development efforts in the sectors of housing, transport and roads as well as digital transformation.

Over the past eight years, Egypt has succeeded in making a great leap in removing the challenges facing such vital sectors, the premier noted.

In the housing field, Egypt has managed to end the dangerous slums and moved its residents to safe and livable housing units that suit the various segments, the premier noted.

Egypt has also succeeded in building 15 new cities of the 4th generation, Madbouli noted, adding that plans are still underway to build more cities to absorb the population increase and create more real estate and developmental opportunities.

On the transport and roads file, Madbouli reviewed the various mega projects of the monorail, the high speed electric train as well as the development of the railway network and metro lines, noting that such projects lured investments and provided new job opportunities for youths.

Addressing the seventh edition of the Builders of Egypt Forum on Monday, Madbouli also pointed out to what he called “a miracle” in the energy sector as Egypt has succeeded in a very short time to end the problem of electricity shortage and turned to an exporter country to its neighbors.

Madbouli also said Egypt is also working on the implementation of “Decent Life” initiative which is termed by many people as “the project of the century” that will benefit some 60 million Egyptians and make a categorical leap in the life of residents of the countryside.

He also noted that the Egyptian companies, including the public and the private, are now offering their vast expertise in the fields of construction and building to a number of Arab and African states, underlining the importance of the builders forum in view of the participation of a vast galaxy of officials and experts in such fields.

Madbouli said Egypt is ready, in line with the presidential directives, to cooperate with all friendly countries to implement all types of projects in any Arab or African region with international high quality and according to specific timetables.
