Head of the Egyptian Planning Ministry’s Sustainable Development unit Mona Asem stressed that the Egyptian state is giving a top priority to achieving social justice and gender equality.
This came in a seminar that was held on Saturday within the framework of a training program of African cadres on local development and decentralization.
The training program was organized by the Planning Ministry in coordination with the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development which is affiliated to the Foreign Ministry.
The seminar is held under the theme of localizing sustainable development goals in Egypt.
Asem said the project of localizing the sustainable development goals falls within the framework of a partnership between the Planning Ministry, the United Nations Population Fund and the Egyptian center for public opinion research “Baseera”.
The three-stage project serves the Egypt Vision 2030 aiming at getting Egyptians nationwide to feel the sustainable development impact.
