The participating African delegations in the Nasser Fellowship for International Leadership, organized by the Youths and Sports Ministry, lauded on Sunday President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s initiative to offer 30 million coronavirus vaccines to Egypt’s partners in Africa.
The medical aid comes in coordination with the African Union.
The delegations told MENA that the initiative reflects Egypt’s pioneering role in the African continent and the keenness of the political leadership to enhance cooperation with African states in the economic, social, cultural and health domains.
The delegations praised Sisi’s readiness to offer all forms of support to African brothers.
The initiative also showed Egypt’s keenness to improve health conditions in the continent and help them face coronavirus, they said.
More than 150 young man and woman representing 70 African, Asian, Latin American and European countries took part in the third edition of the fellowship.
Mohamed Haroun, representative of Chad, lauded the medical care provided to Chadians in Egypt, saying Egypt has distinguished doctors.
He said the initiative mirrors Egypt’s interest in South-South dialogue and its keenness to help Africa face health problems.
