CAIRO – The Egyptian Cabinet media center denied on Saturday reports about registration for free pilgrimage offered on a “fake” website.
In a statement, the center said it had contacted the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry, which described such reports as baseless.
The ministry asserted that all legal measures will be taken against mongers of these electronic links.
The center called on all media outlets and social media users to check the authenticity and accuracy of news spread on social media platforms so as not to spread false news.
