CAIRO – The online promotional campaign, launched in April by the Tourism Ministry, to get the tourists familiar with the latest facilities, concerning having the entry visas, has paid off in the targeted markets, the ministry said in a statement.

Launched on social network websites of Facebook and Instagram, under the theme of “Egypt welcomes its guests,” the campaign targeted the tourist markets in Kazakhstan, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, UAE, South Africa, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia.

The campaign has succeeded in reaching out around 60 million Facebook and Instagram users, with around 157 million views registered in these countries, CEO of the General Egyptian Authority for Tourism Promotion Amr el-Qadi said.

According to the new facilities, more than 180 nationalities could have entry visa to Egypt upon arrival, if they are holders of valid visa to US, UK, the Schengen area, Japan, New Zealand, Canada, and Australia.
