CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy asserted that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi strongly supports the Arab youth and sports mechanism.
The Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports exerts every effort to render the goals of the Arab council of youth and sports ministers successful.
This came in Sobhy’s speech in the inaugural session of the 45th round of the Arab council of youth and sports ministers which started on Thursday at the premises of the Arab League general secretariat.
Sobhy asserted the keenness of the Egyptian political leadership to fully support the legitimate rights of the Palestinians topped by establishing an independent Palestinian state according to international legitimacy resolutions.
He also asserted Egypt’s support of Palestinians in face of difficulties and challenges.
Sobhy said the council convened to discuss programs and projects to be implemented next year.
The project of “Arab youth excellence prize” was launched to honor the Arab youth who have distinguished initiatives, he said, adding that some Arab figures who contributed to the youth and sports movement will be honored as well.
Sobhy lauded the efforts of the Arab ministers of youth and sports and the co-operation between them to select projects that contribute to attracting Arab youth and encouraging them to present initiatives that serve their countries and maintain their belonging.
