CAIRO – Egypt’s Agriculture Minister El Sayed Qusair headed for Cote d’Ivoire on Sunday to take part in the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention to Combat Desertification (COP15) on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Qusair will read out Egypt’s word and will meet with heads of a number of participating delegations.
He will also hold talks with the agriculture and animal production ministers of Cote d’Ivoire on ways of boosting bilateral cooperation.
The conference is considered to be a pivotal moment for how the African continent and other regions affected by extreme drought and land use challenges will move forward in the face of climate change. (MENA)
