CAIRO – Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli held a phone call Thursday with Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad al-Khalifa.

During the phone conversation, Madbouli greeted the Bahraini crown prince on the approach of Eid el-Fitr, wishing continued progress, prosperity and stability to the kingdom.

Madbouli, meanwhile, reviewed the development of relations binding Egypt and Bahrain as well as proposals to promote bilateral co-operation in the various spheres within the upcoming period.

The two sides also hailed the progress of ties between Egypt and Bahrain, especially in light of the distinguished relations between President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa.

They also agreed to intensify joint efforts to further enhance bilateral ties in the various fields in order to benefit the people of Egypt and Bahrain.
