The Higher Committee for Security and Environmental Inspection at Egyptian airports headed by Deputy Minister of Civil Aviation Pilot Montaser Manna toured Abu Simbel and Aswan airports. The committee was received by Pilot Khaled Azmy, Director of Abu Simbel International Airport, and Pilot Basem Bayoumi, Director of Aswan International Airport.
During the visit to the two airports, the committee inspected the travel and arrival halls, VIP rest houses, the observation and meteorological towers, in addition to the fences around the two airports’ campuses, quarantine rooms, travel counters, baggage belts, “X-ray” devices, passports and cafeterias. All security, precautionary and preventive measures recommended by international health and aviation organisations.
The tours come as part of field tours carried out by the Supreme Committee for Security and Environmental Inspection at Egyptian airports, based on the directives of Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Manar to continuously monitor and evaluate the security, environmental and health situation at all airports.
