CAIRO- Egyptian Tourism and Antiquities Minister Khaled el-Anani inspected Monday the renovation of Prince Mohamed Ali Palace in Qalubia’s Shubra El Kheima, ahead of its re-opening.
He was accompanied by Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities Mostafa Waziri.
They inspected the palace’s park, buildings and four halls, with the tourism minister stressing the need for preparing the identification cards of the artifacts inside the palace halls.
The palace was set up on an area of 50 feddans, and its construction took nearly 13 years from 1808 to 1821.
