President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received on Tuesday the Japanese experts supervising the Egyptian Japanese schools to get acquainted with their experience since the start of their work here.

During the meeting, President Sisi lauded the experts’ efforts in this vital national project which is part of the state strategy to develop the Egyptian human capital, from an early age, through a comprehensive education system that balances the academic side with encouraging the ability to think and innovate.

This aims to create balanced characters, and raise generations onethical values that prepares them for positive interaction with the society, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.

The meeting reviewed the experts’ efforts to lay down the school administration concepts already in place in Japan, as well as implementing the Tokubetsu Katsudo (Tokkatsu) in the Japanese schools in Egypt in coordination with the Ministry of Education, Ambassador Radi said.

Minister of Education and Technical Education Tarek Shawky, and Supervisor of the Egyptian Japanese Unit,Nivine Faourk, attended the meeting.

The Japanese experts expressed their honour for meeting President Sisi, and stressed keenness to develop the foundations of the Japanese education system in Egypt, including teacher training and curricula promotion. They also highlighted seriousness on the part of the State of Egypt to develop the education system, in line with the highest standards.

They referred to regular assessment of performance,which showed success of the new educational system, whose philosophy is based on developing and refining a child’s character, as well as increasing the desire to be more engaged in learning, social work, leadership and developing creative thinking skills, besides the ability to achieve goals.

Moreover, the experts lauded the level of the Egyptian teachers in the Japanese schools and their ability to absorb the concept and the principles of the system, and pass it on to the children.

Ambassador Radi noted that the meeting also reviewed the various activities applied at the Japanese schools in Egypt, within the Tokkatsu system.

For his part, Minister Shawky briefed the meeting on the outcome of the mission of Egyptian teachers sent to Japan for direct training on the Tokkatsu.
