Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi praised the strong Egyptian-Hungarian relations and the advanced level they have reached at various domains during the recent period. He also expressed Egypt aspiration to strengthen cooperation with Hungary.
The President’s remarks came during a phone call he made with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.
During the call, the President also congratulated the Hungarian prime minister on the ruling coalition’s victory in the legislative elections in Hungary, noting that the victory reflects the confidence of the Hungarian voters in the vision and ability of Mr Orbán to continue to lead the country during the next stage.
For his part, Hungarian Prime MinisterOrbán expressed his thanks and appreciation to the President for the congratulations, stressing his keenness to continue consultation and coordination with the President on various issues of common interest and to discuss regional and international developments.
He also voiced his country’s determination to advance bilateral relations with Egypt at all levels, especially In light of the role Egypt plays in supporting and consolidating peace and stability in the Middle East, the Mediterranean Basin and Africa.
President Sisi and Prime Minister Orbán also discussedways to enhance bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels.
They also exchanged views on regional files, as well as developments in the Ukrain.
