Hamzawy Holding, a leading company in the field of real estate development and construction working in Egypt, announced the completion of 75% of the first phase of the “Helnan Port Fouad” Hotel and Resort project development with a total investment of LE272 million, said Tamer al-Hamzawy, Board Chairman.

Including the first 5-star hotel and luxury apartments in Port Fouad region in Port Said Governorate, the project is managed by Helnan International Hotels with a total of 455 hotel rooms and a number of summer units, he said, pointing out that the green area amounts to 80% of the total area of the project.

Besides the 455 hotel rooms, the project also comprises 108 hotel units, 22 villas, 6 swimming pools, and 20 commercial stores to provide services to clients, he said. The al-Iman Global Consultancy & Services is in charge of the designs and engineering consultancy for the project.

He explained that “running on an area of 95.000 square metres, the project takes a unique location close to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport with a 300-metre long beach of a special and distinct nature. The project also comprises a main restaurant and 4 specialised restaurants, and meeting, conference and banquet rooms, as well as a GYM and a health club”.

He emphasised that the Suez Canal Axis Development Project contributed to enhancing the economic position of the canal cities, and placing them on the investment map for local and foreign developers.

At the end of 2019, a usufruct contract was signed between Port Said Governorate and Hamzawy Holding to exploit the formerly “Al-Murjan Tourist” village – the current “Helnan Port Fouad, ” to manage the project for a period of 25 years, which in turn contracted with Helnan International Group; hence its international experience, to provide hotel management services for the project.
