CAIRO– Egyptian Ministry of Health on Sunday announced that 11 passengers were killed and 98 passengers were injured in a train accident that took place on the Cairo-Mansoura line near Toukh city in Qalioubiya governorate.

Health Minister Hala Zayed has offered sincere condolence to the family of the victims, wishing speedy recovery for the injured.

Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said that around 60 ambulances have been dispatched to the scene to move the wounded to nearby hospitals.
