CAIRO — The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) said FIFA had handed three-match bans to Egypt head coach Hossam Hassan and team director Ibrahim Hassan.
Player Moustafa Ziko received a five-match suspension.
The rulings relate to incidents during Egypt’s match against Argentina at last summer’s World Cup in the United States.
The EFA has asked FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee to explain the decisions and the reasons behind them.
It will review the details and consider its legal options, including a possible appeal under FIFA’s regulations.
