As part of efforts to engage young people on entrepreneurship and future employment opportunities, Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid met with 150 students from various Egyptian universities, alongside Planning and Economic Development Minister Ahmed Rostom, to discuss labour market trends, entrepreneurship and skills development.

During the meeting, Farid told students that technological advancements, artificial intelligence and digital services are opening new opportunities for young people to launch businesses and develop their capabilities. He stressed that success begins with making a meaningful difference in any role, regardless of its size or level of responsibility.

The minister said an individual’s career path is shaped by both opportunities and continuous effort, emphasising the importance of lifelong learning, skills acquisition and practical experience. He encouraged students to focus on improving their abilities and preparing themselves to benefit from opportunities created by ongoing economic reforms and technological transformation.

Discussing entrepreneurship, Farid noted that successful ventures often begin with identifying real market needs and providing practical solutions, while leveraging modern technological tools to turn ideas into viable businesses.

He highlighted the diversity of opportunities across productive, service and technology sectors, stressing that the success of any project depends on its ability to meet market demand and deliver competitive products or services. He also pointed to growing opportunities in international markets through digital trade and marketing platforms.

The minister concluded by encouraging students to continue developing their skills, remain committed to learning, and strive to make a positive impact in every responsibility they undertake.
