EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering has successfully finished its participation in the 134th International Airlines Technical Pool (IATP) conference in Guangzhou, China.
The company’s team was led by Chairman Mohamed Samy.
During the event, the team held many productive two-way meetings to discuss new methods to work together with several major international airlines.
Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company Ahmed Adel highlighted that taking part in this global event shows the company’s commitment to staying active at major technical conferences worldwide.

Adel explained that EgyptAir focuses on growing and updating its fleet and services while building stronger relationships with international airlines and maintenance providers.
He added that this helps EgyptAir remain a key hub in the Middle East and guarantees the highest levels of safety and smooth daily operations.
For his part, Chairman of EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering Mohamed Samy stated that joining the conference fits directly into the company’s plan to grow, gain new clients, and open more international locations. Eng. Mohamed Samy shared that during the meetings, the company successfully made agreements to cover all technical needs for EgyptAir planes both inside and outside Egypt.
The company also agreed to offer maintenance and support to international airlines at the airports they use, which helps lower operating costs and avoid flight delays caused by technical issues.

In addition, IATP Chairman and Advisor to EgyptAir Maintenance & Engineering Essam Hanafy pointed out that this year’s conference is especially important because of the growing daily challenges in the airline industry.
Hanafy noted that the IATP is a main platform for helping airlines share spare parts and technical services, particularly when planes are grounded with sudden technical issues.
The organisation also coordinates shared equipment, line maintenance services, and special aircraft recovery tools at airports around the world.
Hanafy stressed that continuous teamwork among member airlines directly improves fleet readiness and keeps international flights running smoothly on schedule.

He expressed pride in EgyptAir’s strong role in the organisation, highlighting that EgyptAir has been an active and trusted member for more than 60 years.
The IATP conference is a major global event that brings together leading airlines, maintenance providers, and aircraft parts suppliers. It gives companies a place to build stronger partnerships, plan for upcoming travel seasons, and keep global air travel safe and reliable.
During the event, the EgyptAir delegation signed expanded contract agreements with airlines and plane manufacturers while presenting its latest capabilities and international certificates in fixing and maintaining aircraft, engines, and parts.
