Multiple people, including children, were shot at an elementary school in Bend, Oregon, police said.
At least two victims were taken to hospital from Silver Rail Elementary School, police said. Their conditions were not immediately known.
The suspected shooter was also killed. Police said they could not confirm who shot the suspect, adding that it may have been a bystander. The suspect was reported down inside the school minutes after the first 911 call, officials said.
Families were urged to stay away from the school and go to a designated reunification site.
Bend is in central Oregon, about three and a half hours southeast of Portland.
