The remarks came during Sisi’s meeting with Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki on the sidelines of the Alamein Africa Forum in New Alamein City.
Sisi welcomed Afwerki’s participation in the forum, describing it as an important platform for promoting co-operation and economic integration among African countries.

He also reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for Eritrea’s security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
He stressed Egypt’s firm rejection of any violation of state sovereignty or territorial integrity in breach of international law and the Constitutive Act of the African Union.
Co-ordination on regional issues
President Sisi underscored the importance of continued coordination and consultation between Egypt and Eritrea on regional issues of mutual concern.
He said such co-operation is essential to promoting stability in the Horn of Africa, supporting peaceful efforts to resolve regional crises and enhancing joint efforts to safeguard security and stability in the Red Sea.
For his part, Afwerki expressed appreciation for the close ties and expanding co-operation between Eritrea and Egypt, as well as the ongoing political coordination and consultations between the two countries.
He highlighted the significant convergence of views between Cairo and Asmara on regional developments, particularly regarding respect for state sovereignty and territorial integrity and adherence to the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of states.
