Egypt on Thursday strongly condemned an attack on a power station in the Saudi city of Medina, denouncing what it called a blatant violation and continued attacks aimed at destabilising the kingdom.
The foreign ministry said the attacks represented a dangerous escalation that could further heighten tensions across the region.
Egypt firmly rejected any attempt to undermine Saudi Arabia’s security and sovereignty and expressed full solidarity with any measures the kingdom takes to safeguard its stability and security, the ministry said.
It added that Saudi Arabia’s security was an integral part of Arab national security and closely linked to Egypt’s national security.
