Egypt’s tourism minister met the head of Japan’s travel agents association on Saturday to discuss strengthening co-operation and increasing tourist arrivals from Japan.
Sherif Fathy held talks with the chairman of the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), Yuji Hara, on the sidelines of Tourism Expo Japan, which runs in Tokyo from September 24 to 26.
Egypt exports digital services through 200,000 specialists worldwide
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Raafat Hendi said on Saturday that nearly 200,000 specialists are working to export digital services from Egypt to countries around the world.

Egypt’s economy grows 5.1%, targets 5.4% next year
Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostom said that Egypt’s economic indicators have witnessed positive developments. He noted that the gross domestic product (GDP) has reached 5.1 per cent in fiscal year 2025/2026, compared with around 4.4 per cent in the previous fiscal year. This is driven by a tangible recovery in high-value-added sectors, particularly manufacturing and information and communications technology.
Trump predicts Cuba, US will make deal
