Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump have agreed to establish a constructive relationship centered on strategic stability, founded on mutual respect, fairness, and reciprocity.
According to a report by the Middle East News Agency (MENA), citing Xinhua, the agreement was reached during an informal tea chat at the White House. The meeting was attended by Xi and his wife, Peng Liyuan, alongside Trump and his wife, Melania Trump.
Writing on Truth Social earlier in the day, Trump confirmed that the Chinese leader had departed Washington following what he characterized as a summit of “Friendship, Strength, and Success, for both China and the U.S.A.”
The US president also outlined plans for further diplomatic engagement, announcing that he is set to meet Xi again during a visit to China in November, as well as at the G20 summit scheduled to take place in Miami in December.
