The House of Deputies has given its final approval to amendments to some provisions of a law regulating prisons.
The HoD made the final approval Tuesday in the presence of representatives of the ministries of interior, education and justice.
The amendments, submitted by the government, aim to enhance prisoners’ rights and secure social protection for them.
The amended law is also concerned with reforming inmates and integrating them into society through rehabilitation programs to be able to contribute to the development process.
