Egypt has won the French Syndicat des Entreprises du Tour-Operating (SETO) award for the best partnership with a tourist destination for 2026, after receiving the highest number of votes in the association’s annual members’ poll.
SETO members vote each year to select the best partnership from among the approximately 140 destinations they promote and sell.
SETO President Patrice Caradec presented the award to Tourism and Antiquities Minister Sherif Fathy at Egypt’s pavilion during the IFTM Top Resa tourism trade fair in Paris.
Caradec said he was proud to present the award to Egypt and praised the country’s diverse tourism attractions.
French tourist arrivals rose by 17 per cent during the first nine months of the year, with growth expected to reach around 20 per cent by year-end, Fathy said earlier in a statement. He added that airlines were showing increased interest in expanding charter flights to destinations in Egypt.
