Egypt condemns storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli settlers
The Arab Republic of Egypt strongly condemns the storming of the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israeli settlers under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, describing the incident as a serious violation of the sanctity of religious sites and a dangerous escalation in Jerusalem.
In a statement issued by the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, Egypt warns that the continued recurrence of such provocative actions risks further aggravating tensions, undermining efforts to restore calm and stability, and creating an imposed reality at Al-Aqsa Mosque that could have far-reaching consequences for regional peace and security.
Nuclear-linked desalination opens horizons for sustainable development
Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mahmoud Esmat said on Tuesday that integrating seawater desalination with nuclear power generation represents an advanced global trend capable of opening new horizons for sustainable development, while strengthening water security and maximising the returns from strategic national projects.
The minister made the remarks during a videoconference meeting with General Director of Rosatom Smart Utilities Ksenia Sukhotina, a subsidiary of Russia’s state nuclear corporation Rosatom, to review progress on the development of an integrated seawater desalination complex at the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant site.
Defence chief reviews main phase of 3rd Field Army exercise
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, witnessed on Tuesday, via video conference, the main phase of the strategic-operational command centre exercise for the Third Field Army, conducted as part of the Armed Forces’ combat training programme.
During the exercise, Lieutenant General Zaher conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the participating personnel.
