CAIRO – Egyptian Minister of Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsy said Monday that the World Defense Show serves as a global platform for operational concurrence, where the land, naval, air, security and satellite sectors of defense are concerned.
Morsy – who spoke during the inauguration of the World Defense Show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – said most advanced technologies would be showcased in the exhibition, according to a statement by the Military Production Ministry in Cairo.
He said his Ministry is showing models of many of its advanced military products, including ammunition, weapons and equipment.
The Egyptian pavilion stands over an area of 300 square metres and includes many military products of the Military Production companies, the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation (AOI) and the Arab International Optronics (AIO).
Morsy hailed as “integrated and unique” the exhibition, which brings together local and international manufacturers, as well as bodies concerned with the military industry.
Founded by Saudi Arabia’s General Authority for Military Industries, the World Defense Show is a fully integrated and future focused defense event set to showcase the latest technological developments from around the globe and demonstrate defense interoperability across all domains.
The event kicked off in the Saudi capital Sunday and will last until March 9.
