Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Hussein Eissa, has arrived in the Kyrgyz capital of Bishkek to take part in the 2026 Shanghai Co-operation Organisation (SCO) Summit on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Eissa arrived at Manas International Airport, the main international airport in Kyrgyzstan, at the start of his visit, and was received by Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Seitek Jumakadyrov and Chargé d’Affaires of the Egyptian mission to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan, Ibrahim Hamza.
Eissa is scheduled to deliver Egypt’s address at the summit, which coincides with the 25th anniversary of establishing the SCO.
The summit brings together a number of heads of state and government from member and observer states, as well as dialogue partners, in addition to senior representatives of several international organisations.
