Egypt’s Minister of Youth and Sports Gohar Nabil congratulated the Egyptian Muay Thai national team following their impressive performance at the Arab Junior and Youth Championship, hosted by Libya from August 19 to 26.
The Egyptian delegation delivered an outstanding campaign, securing 14 total medals: two gold, five silver, and seven bronze.
Nabil praised the athletes, technical and medical staff, and the Egyptian Muay Thai Federation, led by Mohamed Ibrahim, for the sport’s rapid progress and strong performance on the regional stage.
The national team’s gold medalists led the way with victories in their respective weight classes.
Abdel Rahman Osama captured gold in the junior 71 kg category, while Mazen El-Sayed took top honours in the youth 34 kg division.
Egypt added five silver medals to its overall tally through strong performances by Hassan Azaz, Habiba El-Sayed, Marwan Mohamed, Sabry Ali, and Mariam Mostafa.
The team completed its 14-medal haul with seven bronze medals won by Sara El-Adawy, Shorouk Gamal, Fathy Tamer, Naseem Ramy, Mazen El-Nemr, Omar El-Sengedy, and Moamen Alaa.
