Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Co-operation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdel-Aati received CEO of Forbes Global Properties Michael Gilbert on Tuesday to discuss ways to boost the company’s business in Egypt and leverage its global network to support efforts to attract investment and international partnerships to the country.
Moreover, Minister Abdel-Aati lauded the ongoing co-operation between Egypt and the company over the construction of the Forbes International Tower in the Business District of the New Capital, announced in 2023, according to a ministry press release.
He described the project as one of the prominent developments combining urban innovation and environmental sustainability.
The minister also voiced hope that co-operation with the company would serve as a model for a broader partnership that would strengthen the New Capital’s position as a regional business and investment hub and attract international companies, institutions and investors.
This would support the state’s efforts to attract foreign investment, enhance the private sector’s role and advance economic development, he said.
The two sides also discussed ways to leverage the company’s extensive network and its channels of communication with investors, business leaders and international markets to promote promising investment opportunities in Egypt, particularly in priority sectors.
The Egyptian top diplomat stressed the key role of the private sector in supporting the state’s efforts to attract investment and strengthen international economic partnerships.
He underlined the importance of integrating government efforts with private sector initiatives to promote investment opportunities in Egypt and enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy, attract high-quality investments and open new avenues for co-operation with the international business community.
