Chairman of the State Information Service (SIS) Ambassador Alaa Youssef and Chairman of the National Media Authority (NMA) Ahmed el-Moslemany signed on Sunday a joint co-operation protocol aimed at strengthening coordination and integration, exchanging expertise and resources, developing media content and enhancing the capabilities of media professionals.
Signed in the presence of leaders and officials from both institutions, the protocol represents a step towards establishing a sustainable partnership that maximises the use of their accumulated expertise and available resources, while supporting the development of media capabilities and keeping pace with rapid changes in the media landscape.
During the signing ceremony, Ambassador Youssef said training and exchanging expertise are key pillars of the co-operation, through joint training programmes and workshops, the exchange of trainers and experts, and the use of the training capabilities of the Maspero Academy.
The programmes will focus on digital media, artificial intelligence, languages, media analysis, news production and journalistic direction.
The protocol also provides for organising joint seminars, conferences and workshops, expanding co-operation in publishing, and making use of the libraries available to both institutions.
Ambassador Youssef also stressed that the protocol reflects a shared commitment to strengthening integration, coordination, expertise exchange and joint training.
He added that the co-operation will contribute to developing the Egyptian media system, enhancing the capabilities of media professionals and strengthening its ability to adapt to rapid transformations in the media industry.
