Housing Minister Randa el-Menshawy reviewed progress on road, utility and service projects in a number of new cities, directing officials to accelerate infrastructure works and improve the quality of services provided to residents.
According to a ministry statement on Saturday, the Housing Ministry is carrying out road development projects in New Fayoum, New Cairo, Hadayek October, New Suez, New Assiut, Badr and Hadayek 10th of Ramadan.
In New Fayoum, work has begun on the second phase of a strategic road linking the city with Fayoum, with the project scheduled for completion within one year, compared with the originally planned 24-month timeframe.
Projects in the other cities include paving and widening roads, upgrading drainage and utility networks, improving traffic safety and strengthening connections between residential, industrial and service areas to support investment and urban development.
