The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) called for safe access to food, shelter and medicine in the Gaza Strip, denouncing killings and displacement of Palestinians there.
“Israel does not allow aid to enter Gaza,” the ICRC spokesperson told AlQahera News, adding that the organisation was facing difficulties distributing assistance inside the territory.
The spokesperson said Israel bore responsibility for the situation in Gaza and called on it to allow more humanitarian supplies and heavy equipment into the enclave.
The ICRC also urged all parties to comply with the Geneva Conventions and end violations, while calling for civil defence teams to be enabled to search for and recover victims’ bodies.
