State Minister for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi has met with Philippine Ambassador to Egypt Ezzedin H. Tago to discuss ways of boosting bilateral economic ties.

During the meeting, Morsi shed light on technical, technological, manufacturing, and human capabilities of his ministry and its subsidiaries.

He asserted that Egypt seeks to enhance co-operation with the various international companies for more spacious horizons, explaining that this comes as part of efforts which aim to exchange experiences and localise modern manufacturing technologies.

Relations between Egypt and the Philippines have steadily improved in the recent period, he said, praising the technical expertise and distinguished technological capabilities of the Philippines.

Egypt is considered a promising market for the products of the Philippine companies, he further said.

The Philippine ambassador, for his part, underlined the need of promoting cooperation between the two countries through maintaining coordination between the Embassy and the various entities in Egypt.

He also hailed Egypt’s pioneering role in the Arab region and the Middle East, pointing out to its tireless efforts in combating terrorism.

The Philippine companies are keen on opening up new aspects of co-operation with the military production companies, affirmed the ambassador.

At the end of the meeting, Morsi invited the Philippine ambassador to visit to a number of the companies affiliated with the ministry in order to stand on the distinguished technological capabilities of military production companies, said spokesperson and media advisor of State Ministry for Military Production Mohamed Eid.
