State Minister for Military Production Salah Gomblat met Investment and Foreign Trade Minister Mohamed Farid on Sunday at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital to explore ways of strengthening co-operation between the two portfolios.
The talks were attended by senior officials, including Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones.
The meeting reviewed the advanced industrial and technological capabilities of Military Production companies and units, with Gomblat stressing their role in meeting defence needs while also contributing to civilian manufacturing and national projects.
He underlined the importance of partnerships with state institutions and the private sector to attract investment, localisemodern technologies and increase the share of local components in production.
Farid emphasised that integrated government efforts are key to driving industrial development and creating a more attractive investment climate. He pointed to the investment map as a central platform for promoting opportunities, particularly industrial projects that can be implemented in partnership with Military Production.
Both ministers agreed to continue co-ordination to establish practical mechanisms for co-operation, aiming to maximise the use of national industrial capabilities, strengthen Egypt’s competitiveness and advance sustainable development.
