Minister of Interior Major General Mahmoud Tawfik has promoted Major General Abdel Nasser Mowafy, Assistant Interior Minister, appointing him as Head of the General Department of Cairo AirPort Police.
Major General Mowafy is regarded as one of the ministry’s experienced security officials, having held several key security positions, most recently serving as Head of Investigations at Cairo International Airport.
He is expected to oversee the development of the airport’s security inspection system and modernise security procedures to help ensure the safety of passengers and airport facilities while further strengthening Cairo International Airport’s position as one of the region’s most secure air gateways.
