Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli chaired a meeting pn Tuesday to follow up on efforts to strengthen governance of development financing for projects funded through grants and loans. The session, attended by Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, Planning Minister Ahmed Rostom and senior officials, focused on maximising the impact of projects and ensuring completion within approved timelines.
Abdelatty presented the integrated electronic platform , the National Unified System for International Cooperation , designed to manage and monitor development finance data across ministries and agencies. He noted the pilot phase has been completed, covering all current and future projects and ensuring full transparency from negotiation to implementation.
Deputy Foreign Minister Samar El-Ahdal outlined challenges facing concessional loans and grants, stressing the need for coordinated political and developmental approaches, closer engagement with embassies abroad and regular meetings with beneficiary agencies to resolve obstacles.
Planning Minister Rostom emphasised participatory planning to enhance efficiency of public investment and maximise developmental impact, adding that coordination will help shorten procedures and support the success of the electronic monitoring system.
Madbouli underlined the importance of governance in development finance to ensure projects deliver tangible benefits, directing continued collaboration among ministries to overcome challenges and accelerate implementation.
