Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey has grossed $639.6 million worldwide after its second weekend in theatres, cementing its status as one of 2026’s biggest box-office successes.
The film has earned $284.4 million in North America and $353.2 million from 81 international markets. Overseas, it added $128.3 million in its second weekend, a decline of just 10 per cent from its opening, one of the strongest holds for a film that debuted with more than $100 million.
In North America, The Odyssey took in $87 million during its second weekend, down only 30 per cent. That marks the best second-weekend performance for a Nolan-directed film, surpassing even the run of Oppenheimer and underscoring strong audience demand.
IMAX screenings have played a major role in the film’s performance, generating more than $140 million worldwide. Demand remains strong for the versions filmed entirely with IMAX cameras.
The film is expected to cross the $1 billion mark in the coming weeks, despite the anticipated competition from Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
