Egypt’s Armed Forces’ Commander-in-Chief and Minister of Defence and Military Production Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher has left for Türkiye, leading a high-ranking military delegation on an official visit, invited by Turkish Minister of National Defence Yaşar Güler.
During the visit, Zaher will hold a series of talks with the Turkish defence minister and senior officials at the Turkish Ministry of Defence to discuss ways of enhancing military co-operation between the armed forces in the two countries across a range of fields.
The visit is part of ongoing efforts to further boost defence ties and expand co-operation between Egypt and Türkiye, particularly in areas of mutual interest, while supporting coordination between the two countries’ armed forces.
