Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company, conducted an inspection tour of the aircraft apron to monitor operations, assess the readiness of operational teams, and review aircraft preparation procedures to ensure departures are carried out in line with the highest safety and efficiency standards.

During the tour, Adel inspected the latest electric towbarless pushback tractors recently delivered to EgyptAir Ground Services. The new equipment represents another step in the company’s plan to modernise its ground support fleet and adopt environmentally friendly solutions that help reduce carbon emissions and fuel consumption, in line with Egypt’s sustainable development goals and the civil aviation sector’s environmental strategy.

Khaled Atwa, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Ground Services, said the four new units feature advanced operating capabilities and can efficiently handle all EgyptAir aircraft types, including modern models such as the Airbus A350 and Boeing 737 MAX. He noted that the equipment will improve the speed and efficiency of aircraft towing and pushback operations while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Adel also praised employees across different work sites, emphasising that human resources remain the foundation of successful operations and that continuous investment in equipment and technology goes hand in hand with developing EgyptAir’s workforce.

The visit was part of EgyptAir Holding Company’s strategy to modernise its ground handling equipment, improve operational efficiency, and expand the use of advanced technology in line with global developments in the aviation industry, further strengthening EgyptAir’s position as a leading national carrier providing services that meet international standards.
