The National Press Authority (NPA) will launch a new two-volume publication, Man of Destiny: Biography of a Leader, the Journey of a Nation,” during a special ceremony on Tuesday to mark the 13th anniversary of the June 30 Revolution.

Authored by a group of prominent Egyptian writers, the publication chronicles the life and political journey of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi against the backdrop of Egypt’s modern history. Drawing on documented testimonies from national figures who stood alongside the country’s leadership, the book recounts pivotal moments during what it describes as one of the most defining periods in Egypt’s contemporary history.

According to the NPA, the publication traces President Sisi’s journey from his childhood in Cairo’s El-Gammaliya district to assuming the presidency, documenting key milestones in his personal and military career. It also highlights developments following the 2011 uprising and the regional turmoil that ensued.

The book examines the role of the Egyptian Armed Forces and their leadership in confronting instability, restoring security and combating terrorism, alongside the contributions of the police and the support of the Egyptian people.

It also explores the challenges faced by the Egyptian state, including attempts to isolate and exert pressure on the country, and reviews Egypt’s response through a foreign policy based on strategic balance and diversified international partnerships.

The first volume features a foreword by former interim President Adly Mansour, while the second opens with an introduction by Pope Tawadros II, head of the Coptic Orthodox Church.

Entitled Human First, the second volume focuses on the development agenda pursued during President Sisi’s tenure. It highlights major legislative reforms, the Decent Life initiative, anti-poverty programmes, healthcare initiatives, and large-scale national projects spanning infrastructure, agriculture and industry.

The publication also reviews policies aimed at empowering women, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable groups, while highlighting progress in Egypt’s cultural and sports sectors and outlining the country’s vision for the future under the New Republic.
