AMMAN — The historic 3–1 victory achieved by the Egyptian national football team over New Zealand in the FIFA World Cup 2026 received wide attention from Jordanian newspapers and news websites, which highlighted the achievement from various angles and celebrated the popular and official reactions following the match.

The Jordanian daily Al Ghad focused on the historic dimension of the win, running the headline “Egypt records historic World Cup win over New Zealand with a three-goal victory,” emphasizing the significance of the result as a milestone in Egypt’s World Cup journey.

Meanwhile, Al Ra’i published the headline “The Pharaohs write history… Egypt defeats New Zealand 3–1 in the World Cup,” noting that the Egyptian team achieved an exceptional comeback victory that boosted its chances of advancing to the next round.

Jordanian media also highlighted congratulations from President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to the Egyptian team following the match, praising the victory as a reflection of determination and perseverance and as a promising start for continuing the tournament with confidence and ambition.
