Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence and Military Production, Ashraf Salem Zaher, on Thursday, inspected the training and qualification system at the Egyptian Military Academy, reaffirming the Armed Forces’ commitment to maintaining the highest standards of military and civilian training.

Accompanying him during the visit were Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Transport Minister Kamel El-Wazir, Awqaf Minister Osama El-Azhari, Education and Technical Education Minister Mohamed Abdel-Latif, Justice Minister Mahmoud Helmy El-Sherif, and a number of senior Armed Forces commanders.

During the tour, Zaher conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the academy’s cadets and participants in civilian training programmes.

He said the presence of talented civilian trainees alongside military college cadets reflects an integrated model of co-operation among Egypt’s youth across different disciplines. He described them as a driving force for the nation’s development and stressed that such integration helps build well-rounded citizens while strengthening national cohesion and safeguarding the country’s resources.

Zaher also underlined the Armed Forces General Command’s commitment to closely overseeing the academy’s educational and training programmes, which are designed in line with the latest qualification and training standards.

The visit included a review of daily sports and fitness activities undertaken by cadets and trainees. Zaher and the accompanying ministers joined participants in a physical training session before inspecting a number of upgraded training grounds and physical preparation facilities.

The defence minister also held discussions with participants in the civilian training programmes on issues related to their fields of study and professional development.

The tour concluded with a breakfast gathering attended by the defence minister, accompanying ministers, cadets and trainees.
