Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli started on Wednesday’s cabinet meeting with reviewing the outcome of the 6th EU-African summit that was held in Belgium with the participation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
President Sisi chaired a roundtable on preparations for COP27 which is due to be held in Egypt in November.
During the summit, the achievements realised by Egypt were highlighted and several mega companies expressed interest in taking part in development projects being implemented by Egypt.
The premier said the government is preparing a package of incentives for participation in clean energy projects, especially green hydrogen ventures, noting that there are several offers by mega companies to join these projects.
As for the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, he said the government is mulling the repercussions of this crisis, wishing that the crisis would end soon.
The premier also referred to the inking of several memorandums of understanding and a co-operation protocol during the higher Egyptian-Jordanian committee.
The talks also tackled the outcome of a visit by US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry, the premier said, noting that their meeting addressed preparations for the COP27.
